Personas are nothing
new, but are becoming increasingly important to intranets and
managers who want to better understand employees, and their
information preferences and paths on the corporate intranet or
portal.
“Developing
personas allows anyone developing or designing, or for that matter,
writing, to focus on a person rather than referencing multiple data
points,” says
Catherine Elder, senior consultant, Prescient Digital Media.
“People respond to people, they are easier to remember than a
compilation of data. Personas help a team focus on important aspects
of target users – they simplify the reference points.”
Below are the slides
from Catherine's recent webinar on “Creating personas.”
