While it is correct to say that you “could write just about anything” you wanted, there are unclear standards for blogs that are professionally published. For example, there is still a gray area being mashed out concerning libel. See Blog At Your Own Risk and CocoDorm/FlavaWorks Files Lawsuits.

Many thanks for the note Tolana. In fact, it would be safe to say there are no standards whatsoever for professional bloggers. However, there is an emerging code of conduct that is implicit and not yet fuly defined for institutionalized. Stay tuned… Regards, Toby
