(Social) intranet, or social software for business generation is just the future. Think of all the huge workflows, huge people in project etc. Without doing all this in a visual work space it cost way too much time which is just spending all you money on nothing… and then rest my case, social intranet is the new power of doing business

Thanks for the very insightful article. I especially liked the chart comparing Intranet 1.0 and Intranet 2.0. But, some of intranet 1.0 functions do still make sense right? The challenge is to have them interspersed with 2.0 functions.

Absolutely – 1.0 is still a must and in fact much of 1.0 is still more relevant than 2.0. We're in the beginning of an evolutionary process that won't phase out 1.0 in its entirety, but rather enhance and build-upon.
